Top 4 cover songs!
Some time ago I got inspired by my friend's blog note that you can find here -> http://imaginationofd.blogspot.com/. Ola wrote a note about her favourite 5 cover songs and today I'm going to share my opinion with you. The matter of cover songs is quite difficult because some of peaople estimate that original song will be always better because in fact every part of it: the lyrics, the riffs were created since the beginning. However, there are some cover that are definitely better than the originals. In my opinion, these are the best ones!
#4 Everything Nice by Jaakko Eino Kalevi
This song originally was created by Jamaican deejay, singer and songwriter Popcaan who released this number in 2014. Later, it was also covered by Norwegian deejay Matoma featuring rapper Wale. In 2015, Finnish musician called Jaakko Eino Kalevi released his own version of this song as a single featuring Farao - a Norwegian music artist.
As I see it, the fresh, more lively, and even more pop or electronic version of Everything Nice is much better than the original one. I like especially the part, when Farao comes in.

#3 Mad World by Gary Jules
Mad World was a third single from a British band Tears for Fears released in 1982 that plays new wave, synth pop and pop rock. The original version was placed on the 3rd place in UK Singles Chart. It also got on the album The Hurting. In 2001 Gary Jules, an American ainger and songwriter with a friend Michael Andrews released a cover that was used in a soundtrack of a Donnie Darko movie. This version was placed on the top of Billboard. Later, it was used very often in a differnt kind of movies or TV series.
In my opinion, a version of Jules is solemn and matches to the lyrics much more than the buoyant original. It may be found as depresive and sad but I think is just beautiful.

#2 Co mi Panie dasz by Czesław Mozil and Gaba Kulka
My mom loves Bajm and, according to her, no one can sing their songs than Beata Kozidrak. The song was written by Beata Kozidrak and composed by her brother Jarosław in 1982. We can barely hear the influence of music of 80's when pop rock band starts create more synth noise.
This the second time when the interpretation of the covering artists is much better, of course IMO. The lyrics is so serious and deep and all we can hear in the origianl song is that weird, complicated synthesizor accents and Gaba Kulka with Czesław Mozil used simple sounds of accorion and ukulele added their soft voices creating intense and moving cover that can played over and over again.

#1 Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down) by Nancy Sinatra
That song so covered so many times that a lot of peaple simply don't know who created it as first. Actually, it was Cher. The song was written by Sonny Bono (really funny guy with a mustache) and released in 1966. After 21 years Cher made a metal cover of her own song. It was also covered by Stevie Wonder or Sheila.
Nancy, daghter of Frank sinatra, created her version of Bang Bang... yet i 1966 and now, it is probably the most known, fameous because of using it in 2003 in Kill Bill - a movie by Quentin Tarantino.
As the first, the orignal version of the Bang Bang... is really nice, the rock one is kind of a funny thing. Moreover, Nancy gives us a lot of feelings with her sweet voice and personal interpretation.
The original, nice one
The second original (?), the weird one
Nancy's work, the most moving one
I was convinced that Gary Jules was the creator of "Mad World" and now I'm quite surprised, because the tempo of this song is much more suitable in for Jules' cover. And Nancy Sinatra is a class of her own. However, I see the biggest progress in "Everything Nice". I just can't believe that this is "the same" song. Jaakko Eino Kalevi converted this song in sth really nice. :)
