Top 4 movies by Hayao Miyazaki!

Week ago, my Senpai, Hayao Miyazaki celebrated his 76th birthday, that's why I decided to make a post about my favourite anime movies created by this amazing person.
He is not only a director but also a mangaka - mangas creator. He directed a lot of anime movies starting with Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind to the newest, The Wind Rises, which was nominated to an Oscar and is considered as the last one in his career. Today I'd like to present my four favourite anime movies by Miyazaki. Enjoy!

#4 Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind (Kaze no tani no Naushika)

Just like I said, this was the first Miyazaki's movie, created in 1984.
The main character named Nausicaä is a princess of a small village that is able to exist thanks to the gifts of a nature. One day newcomers kidnap the princess and threaten the villagers that they will use some mystic biological weapon. Nausicaä and the rest of the habitants want to save the nature.
Every Miyazaki's art has an educating moral. This very movie is not only an fairy tale but it tells a story about saving our environement - a topic that is very important to me and, how you're able to notice, I put a stress on. In my opinion, there is never too little of awaring about pollution and other environemental problems. And what is more, Nausicaä is a very nice and funny character.

#3 My Neighbor Totoro (Tonari no Totoro)

This one released in 1988 is still one of the most famous Miyazaki's movie.
Sweet, huge creature is not the only character in the movie. There are also Mei and Satsuki - little sisters that care about theirs sick mother. Two girls and theirs parents move to the other city. There, girls find out a magical place with dozens of a creatures called Totoro. Those beings help the girls survive a difficult time.
I like this one because it has a autobiographical background. Miyazaki was also broght up by his father when his mother was sick. Moreover, it is unable not to like Totoros. They are cute and funny and they care about little girls. The look like teddy bears and they are alive! Soo sweet!

#2 Spirited Away (Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi)

One of the longest Miyazaki's movie that was released in 2001.
Tells a story of a girl named Chichiro who with their parents sighsee a new town. After crossing a weird wall in the forest, the parents decide to eat a meal. Suddenly, some boy says to Chichiro that she should have run away. The girl want to aware her parent but it occurs that they changed into pigs - it's because they all are in the gods' land right now and this meal, eaten by parents, was prepared to gods, not to peaople. Chichiro wants to help her parents and she follows Haku to the terms menaged by Yubaba, a witch, where she has to work right now.
The plot is kind a difficult to understand and follow, however during watching it is easy to understand this very important message. Spirited Away touches problems of increase of consumtion, wasting of food but also a children abusing. I think, that this movie should be watched by adults. this one is a very beautiful picture, but the youngest would not understand what Miyazaki wanted to say.

#1 Howl's Moving Castle (Hauru no Ugoku Shiro)

My favourite one that was produced in 2004.
Eighteen-year-old Sophie is just an average girl, who works in a shop with hats, when, one day, she meets Hauru. After, this meeting a weird, old witch put a curse on her that makes Sophie changes into an old woman. Can't showing herself like this to her family, she decides to run away from home. While walking through empty field during a huge snowstorm, Sophie is rescued by Moving Castle. Sophie starts to occupate this strange machine whose owner, Hauru, is a beautiful and powerful witcher. Between those two, there's growing an emotion.
I love Howl's Moving Castle so much! It is so moving and charming. The characters of Sophie and Hauru are very funny and lovely. I'm shipping this relationship so much, because, even if Sophie looks like and old lady, Hauru see the truth and is able to notice the beauty hiding in a different body.
